Dear Never give up on your hopes or dreams!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous funding of the Never give up on your hopes or dreams scholarship.  I am extremely honored to be awarded this award.  Growing up in a less privileged community has not only offered financial and academic challenges, but has also allowed me to realize the importance of college education.  This funding has allowed me to focus on my education and not worry how I am supposed to pay for it.  I was able to graduate this year with nonors.  I plan to attend Cal State San Bernardino to get my bachelors degree in social work.  I look forward to giving back to my community because your scholarship inspired me to help others just how you helped me.  Thank you for making it possible to reach my dreams.

Signed Sylvia beltran

2022 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

The Board of Directors of The Duchess of Vonh Castle Sharing, Caring, and Giving of Oneself Foundation, in partnership with San Bernardino Valley College, Foundation, is proud to announce the 2022 "Never Give Up on Your Hopes or Dreams!" Scholarship recipients - Paula Allen, and Sylvia Beltran, students attending San Bernardino Valley College, San Bernardino, Ca.  The scholarships were awarded in the field of Social Work.  Here are some of the sentiments expressed by this year's recipients:

Dear Never Give Up on Your Hopes or Dreams! Scholarship, I wanted to say thank you for choosing me as a scholarship recipient for the 2022-2023 school year.  It means so much to me to have support from you in being able to continue my studies at SBVC and giving me the resources needed to get the best education I know I am receiving by attending this college.  This scholarship helps ease my stress financially knowing I am able to get

everything I need for each course I take to ensure I am giving my best when it comes to my education.  This helps me continue to push forward even with my disability of going blind which often can set me back and weigh me

down. Knowing I have outside support gives me a push to move forward and persevere towards my goal of finishing my AA at SBVC and transferring to CSUSB to further my education.  It would be easy for me to give up considering my eyesight is nearly gone and it is difficult using a computer and getting around campus sometimes, but through everything I continue on in my journey.  Once again, thank you for choosing me as a lucky recipient of this amazing scholarship to help me continue with my schooling.  Sincerely, Paula Allen

21 April 2022 Dear Scholarship Administrator, I was very excited and happy to learn that I was a recipient of the Never Give Up on Your Hopes and Dreams scholarship.  I am writing this letter to deeply thank you for your generous financial support towards my higher education.  I am a psychology major who plans to pursue a Social Worker career and help people in need.  I am currently finishing my first year at San Bernardino Valley College and plan to transfer to Cal State San Bernardino University in the Spring of 2023.  After graduation, I will seek employment in San Bernardino county and hope to inspire people to go to college and achieve their dreams as well.  By awarding me the Never Give Up On Your Hopes and Dreams scholarship, I am able to concentrate on what is important to me which is my education.  Your financial generosity has allowed me to be one step closer to reaching my dreams and I hope to help others the way that you have helped me.  Thank you for your kindness.  Sincerely, Sylvia Beltran
